So, here's the thing. I'm very creative. Aside of writing and drawing, I tend to make homemade props. I've made the TARDIS shard from Cold Blood, The Amazing Spider-Man web-shooters, the Doctor's calling card, third Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver to name a few. I've wanted to build my own TARDIS exterior in the back garden before if it wasn't too expensive and I've also attempted to make my own classic TARDIS console using card and bits and bobs around the house which went badly wrong. Recently though, I thought I'd have a crack at making a Dalek's eyestalk. The initial idea was to try and replicate the 2010 new Paradigm Daleks' eyestalk which was inspired by The Wedding of River Song when the Doctor presented it to the bar-tender. The design was more complicated to make than I had anticipated and so I decided to create my very own eystalk, purely out of my own head but taking ideas from already existing designs. The look to it currently resembles that of the classic era Daleks more than RTD era and the Mark Gatiss design.
Below, are some images of it's process from the beginning. It's not finished yet, but it seems to be getting along quite quickly so it shouldn't be long until it's complete.
