I've come to the decision to leave out the magazine from these reviews (aside of the cover) as the content's nothing different from previous issues and all the basics have been pointed out. If, however, there is something interesting worth mentioning, I shall do so.
The Figurine
The figurine for this issue is the Cyber Controller from series 2's The Age of Steel. In contrast to the previous two figurines, the quality to this one is quite fine. Of course, there's one or two little errors but none that stand out or ruin the overall quality of the figurine. The detailing is excellent with the paint work really emphasising the steel look to the Cybus Cybermen design. The detail even extends into the smaller, more difficult-to-get-at areas such as the suit underneath the armour and steel casing. The eyes are painted a slightly brighter silver in attempt to replicate the Cyber Controller's glowing eyes although it fails to stand out as it blends in with the rest of the paintwork.

As you can see from the above image, the errors are still present. But they stand out quite enormously in the picture whereas in person, they're barely noticeable.
You'll also notice a nice texture to the sculpt to make the steel stand out some more. The sculpt is utterly fantastic. They've gotten the wires (suit) underneath the steel casing as well as the patterns and layers on the chest armour, legs and arm. You can also see the links on the chest which is where the wires were incorporated in the episode. And, personally, I'm loving the Cybus industries logo.
The brain in particular is what I'm most taken by. With errors found on small and simple areas around the previous two figurines; suggesting a sloppy handling when it came to the paintwork. You can see by the brain that strict attention was paid. The transparent casing and the overall design and texturing to it is magnificent. The tiniest detail really does make up for some of the errors with this collection in my personal opinion.

So, in conclusion, this figurine for me has been a step up from the previous two figurines in terms of quality and paint job. Of course it's mainly luck of the draw for those with a subscription. However, those who pick up the issue from the shops can always give the figurine a quick check-over as there's nothing hiding it. For me, I pick it up from the shops as I haven't gotten around to sending in a subscription yet but I'm mostly in a hurry so don't have time to fully evaluate the figurine until I get home. In this respect, I hope the quality for future figurines (especially the next one) will be at this level or even better at a push.
Now, next issue is a very exciting one for me as it features the Weeping Angels. This monster is my favourite in the Whoniverse and the images for the particular figurine look fantastic so I can't wait to get hold of it and post the review. Let's hope for ace quality!
